Mother's Day Lunch

My Mom Irene

Justin and his Mom

We were so fortunate to be home (Michigan) for Mothers Day this year. We got to spend time with both our moms and took them out to lunch.

I don't tell her often enough but I so appreciate my mom (Irene) and love her unconditionally. My mom has always encouraged me and takes great care of my dad and grandfather. She hasn't had much time for her as of late because she is being a caretaker. I love her beyond belief. I thank her for raising a strong willed, compassionate, loving woman who appreciates everything she has.

As for my Mother in Law... I am a very fortunate person to have such an amazing MIL like Janice. She has always been supportive of Justin and I. I couldn't ask for a better MIL. So many people don't get along with their in-laws.. I am very lucky that not only do I get along with, but truly love her! She raised an amazing son whom I love with all my heart.

Photo shoot at Lake Michigan

I really like this shot of Riley walking/running away. The sun was setting and the water was fine ripples. So peaceful...

After the wedding on Saturday, we went to the beach downtown. The kids were able to play on the playground then we went for a walk on the beach. We skipped rocks in Lake Michigan, drew in the sand and posed for many a pictures. I love taking pictures at the beach as there are so many different shots you can get.

My Sisters Wedding

Saturday the 10th we attended the wedding of my sister Julie and her fiance Kory. It was a small intimate affair at a historical church in Ludington. (it was at White Pine Village). The church had no electricity--kind of like the old days. It was a beautiful ceremony. The kids had fun too. Riley picked some "flowers". He looked so handsome in his tie(first time he'd worn one)-do note that he is a 3 year old boy and cannot be expected to be without grass stains on his nice pants..... (ohhhh I wish he hadn't gotten grass stains on his pants-hehehe).

Cameron & Riley Hanging Around!

Last Friday we went to the Ludington Marina to the playground for the kids to hang out. It was chilly outside but the kids needed to burn off some energy!!! We hung around for the new Fire Truck to come over from Wisconsin on the Carferry "The Badger". The boys got to go in the firetruck to check it out. Riley wanted it to "Move". Cameron loved watching the carferry come in and play with Riley.

My Great Niece

Sweet Hailey was such a joy to be around when we were in Michigan. She really started moving more (walking) while we were there. Riley loved playing with "Baby Hailey" and was real gentle with her!

It warmed my heart

As we sat in the family room and the boys were playing online games. Justin had done something great according to Riley and he reached over hugged his daddy and whispered, "you are my best friend daddy, I love you." Let me tell you this made my heart melt with love and happiness. He patted his daddy on the back and said "I'm so proud of you, dad".

I love my boys!!!
